What QuickDraw stores
To work, QuickDraw saves a few things on your Mac only, inside its own private app folder:
- What each letter does: the app, website, file, Shortcut name or text snippet you chose.
- Drawings of letters you record in "Practice your letters", so it can recognize your handwriting.
- Your settings, such as launching at login.
This information is never sent anywhere. Deleting QuickDraw deletes it.
What QuickDraw reads while running
- Whether the Option or Control key is held down, so it knows when you want to draw a letter or an arrow. It does not see or record which keys you type.
- The pointer's position while you draw, to recognize the letter. Strokes are recognized instantly on your Mac and are not kept, unless you save one in Practice.
- The list of apps in your Applications folders, so you can choose which app a letter opens.
QuickDraw does not ask for Accessibility, Input Monitoring, screen recording, contacts, location or any other permission.
This website
The QuickDraw website keeps simple, anonymous visit counts: which page was viewed, where the visit came from, how many people downloaded the app, and a rough country worked out from your browser's time zone. It uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and doesn't track you across sites or over time. The app itself sends nothing.
If you post a review, the star rating, name and comment you type are shown publicly on the homepage. Leave the name blank to post as "Anonymous". To have a review removed, contact support.
Sharing
QuickDraw does not share, sell or transfer any information, because it doesn't collect any.
Children
QuickDraw collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
